Roop Raj is an American journalist, anchor and reporter currently working as the evening anchor and host of Let it Rip on FOX 2 News. His career began at the age of 14 when he produced and hosted his own television program in Troy, Michigan. In his first two years at Michigan State University, he was on the air at the CBS and ABC stations in Lansing, Mich. He was then hired to anchor the news in Flint, Mich., where he did news and weather for four years. That was followed by seven years at NBC in New Orleans. Lisa Sylvester is an American Peabody, Emmy award-winning journalist, anchor, reporter and television correspondent. She previously reported on CNN’s The Situation Room. She joined WPXI, Channel 11 in Pittsburgh, in October 2013, anchoring the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. and on WPGH’s 10 p.m. newscast, which is produced by WPXI. Before beginning her career in major network news, she worked for KTVI-TV in St. Louis, WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois, and WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee. From 2000 until 2004, she was the Washington-based correspondent for Lou Dobbs Tonight and ABC News. After that, she transferred to CNN, where she worked as a correspondent for The Situation Room in Washington, D.C. Larry Madowo is a CNN International Correspondent and host of the African Voices Changemakers and Playmakers series. He was previously a North America Correspondent for the BBC and also anchored breaking news and presented BBC World News America from Washington, DC. After a year and a half of his degree, Madowo left college to work for Kenya Television Network (KTN), one of the continent’s oldest private television networks. After three years of becoming well-known in Kenya, he quit KTN to work as a business anchor and reporter for NTV. He became one of the primary anchors of the market day shows Open Exchange, Power Lunch, and Closing Bell at the South African-based CNBC Africa in May 2012. She previously worked for CNBC as co-anchor of Squawk on the Street and the host of Street Signs. Burnett started out as a financial analyst in the investment banking section of Goldman Sachs, where she worked on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. Burnett was given a job at CNN as a writer and booker for CNN’s Moneyline with Lou Dobbs, Willow Bay, and Stuart Varney while he was employed as an investment-banking analyst. She resigned to become vice president of CitiMedia, Citigroup’s digital media division. Burnett interviewed U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in Afghanistan in December 2012. Burnett left Citigroup to work as an anchor and stock editor for Bloomberg Television. Burnett co-anchored Squawk on the Street with Mark Haines and hosted CNBC’s Street Signs from 2005 to 2011.
